MATTHEW'S STORY
Matthew discovered his love for golf as a child and dedicated himself to mastering the game. His passion and discipline led him to become a Southern California PGA Junior Tour Champion, competing against top talent across the region. At Redlands East Valley High School, he served as Varsity Team Captain, leading his team with standout performances and strong leadership on and off the course.
His success earned him a place on the University of Redlands Men’s Golf Team, where he now competes at the collegiate level—all while proudly staying rooted in his hometown.
Matthew takes pride in giving back to the Inland Empire community that helped shape him. With years of tournament experience and a deep understanding of both the mental and technical aspects of golf, he brings a champion’s mindset to every lesson. Whether you are picking up a club for the first time or looking to grow your skills, Matthew creates a positive, encouraging environment where athletes can build confidence, character, and a lifelong love for the game.
VIVIAN'S STORY
Vivian’s tennis journey began at Redlands East Valley High School, where she worked her way from beginner to standout athlete through commitment and hard work. Over four years, she earned Most Improved, the Coach’s Award, and ultimately the honor of Most Valuable Player her senior year. Her leadership helped guide her team to multiple Citrus Belt League Playoffs and CIF competitions, proving that growth and grit can take you far.
After high school, Vivian began coaching with the City of Yucaipa and quickly found her passion for teaching. She takes pride in helping young players build not only their tennis skills, but also their confidence and love for staying active.
Now, as co-founder of MVP Lessons, Vivian is excited to bring that same energy to kids across the Inland Empire. She creates an environment where players feel supported, motivated, and excited to learn—helping them develop lifelong habits of discipline, focus, and fun.
